Over the years I’ve had various customers and industry-related associates from all over the southeast mention duck hunting with Towner Cowles and what a great time they have had. I’ve known Towner for nearly 30 years, but not being much of a hunter, I personally had never gone with him. I recently had some very good customers here in Atlanta who wanted to go duck hunting in Arkansas so I called Towner hoping he might point me in the right direction. I could tell he had a busy schedule but he insisted on hosting my customers and me at his place on the Cache river. I graciously accepted his offer and began planning the trip. Not knowing what to expect, my customers had tons of questions. Towner was extremely helpful in explaining the trip from start to finish so we would know what to bring and what to expect. Once we arrived, the hunting and accommodations were perfect. The whole area around the Cache river was amazing. We had early mornings each day with breakfast cooked in the blind, followed by an awesome dinner and good conversation each evening. Towner’s experience and patience with us “newbies” was more than helpful. He did a perfect job luring in the ducks and telling us when they were in range to fire. He also made sure everyone was comfortable operating their guns and that we all understood any rules to keep us safe. By the second day, I knew the trip was a huge hit with my customers. They had already started asking for available dates the following year. Having Towner host us all couldn't have gone any better. They still bring it up every time I see them.
